I like them, I just wish they would of kept the same funky retro styling of the original. Citizen did with their ti ecodrive reissue.

Not a bad price for the reissue. Does anyone have them for sale?

I think our Novelist in Residence would know, if anyone on this side of the Pacific does... Conj?
Damn, I love that first one, with the brown and pale yellow dial scheme...my alma mater's exact same colors all those many years ago...

Re: Seiko re-issues the Bullhead
I saw a posting for these at another forum a few weeks ago; apparently, they first showed up on a thread at WUS where they were thought to be part of the new Seiko Solar line. After looking at them on the Seiko corp page, I didn't see anything indicating they're solar powered, so they're probably battery-quartz with standard Seiko movements, just twisted around to put the pushers at the top.
I'm not sure when they'll be available, but probably they'll be JDM first, so maybe after the first of the year.
I agree with Mort; the brown one gives me a major boner.

Non Solar....
Here are the specs....

Glass material: Glass
LumiBrite : Yes (needle index)
Accuracy
15 ± seconds difference per month

Another good beater I guess, non solar is a deal breaker for me.

Re: Seiko re-issues the Bullhead
I agree that not having the solar movement, while not quite a deal-breaker, is certainly a bummer.
I find it interesting that Citizen has gone almost exclusively to Eco-Drive (solar) in just about every line they offer, while Seiko still lags far behind. I can only guess the reason, which might be that their Asian customers prefer battery-operated quartz.

Re: Seiko re-issues the Bullhead
Seiko marketing is puzzling, to say the least...even their "new" solar offerings , offer nothing new (pun intended) from their own el cheapo Pulsar lines used for decades now...and Citizen is catching on the mechanical lines too, really fast.conjurer wrote:I agree that not having the solar movement, while not quite a deal-breaker, is certainly a bummer.

Re: Seiko re-issues the Bullhead
Solar would have been a nice update on the Bullhead for a reissue. Still might consider one love my vintage Citizen just haven't been able to get a vintage Seiko.
