Merry Christmas From Casa Conjurer
In these days of international strife, last minute fist-fights over the hot gift at Target, overeating, battling the weather to get to Grandma's house, paper-cuts from giftwrapping, fiscal cliffs, political battles, pain-in-the-ass inlaws getting drunk at our holiday parties and passing out in the front lawn after trying to take their pants off over their heads, and, of course, the horror in the schoolhouse that made all of our hearts break, I thought a little story from Casa Conjurer might lift a few spirits.
Our love for animals is pretty well known, and we were lucky enough to get adopted by three cats who had been abandoned by a white trash neighber who moved and tossed them out. Two orange tabbies and one gray decided they enjoyed living in our house rather than out in the urban wild, and they've stayed with us since. The oldest orange, O'Brian, and the youngest, Murphy (named for their ginger hair and fondness of Irish-like sighing) never got along very well. We suspect that Murphy may actually be the son of O'Brian, or possibly a half-brother from another litter, although the father/son thing seemed appropriate, since whenever they were together it was like watching a feline version of The Great Santini. They'd hiss at each other, attack each other, steal the other's food, and on and on.
In the last year, however, Murphy, who's maturing a little, seems to get along with O'Brian, and a couple of weeks ago I snapped this shot:
I was lucky to get it, because, of course, it didn't last long, and half an hour later Murphy was stalking O'Brian again. But it was nice while it lasted.
So to all my friends at Watchforums, me and Mrs. C wish you a peaceful, restful, safe, and bountiful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Great tale - or is that tail? - Conj!
And from Rancho de los Muertos, Fleas Navidog!
Be safe, well & prosperous, and may the new year bring you that much closer to whatever your hearts desire...
A very Merry Christmas from Mort, Mrs Mort and an absolutely spoiled rotten little bichpoo named Daffodil Clementine...
