Flipping heartache Empty Flipping heartache

Today I found myself looking at a watch that I flipped a few months ago. After a month I started to think why did I sell that one? 1st I had bought other ones that made it a box queen. Then I forgot about so I did what any WIS would do sell it to fund another watch. After the newness ran out of the others. Then somebody posted one and I got the sick feeling way down deep. Thing is now I buy it used it is going to cost more than when I bought it new.

Has this ever happened to any of you?

Happens all the time to me. I don't get too worked up if the watch was not comfy. I have sold some to an employee, who then wears them to work so I see them on a daily basis. I want several back, but he isn't selling.

Not with a watch - at least not yet, anyway. My other evil and all-consuming hobbies are antique radio collecting, restoration and - occasionally - sales, and flight jacket collection and restoration. My latest "flippin' heartache" involves a 1937 Zenith 'round dial' table radio that I restored eight years ago and sold for a very nice profit. I recently spotted it in an antique shop in Ventura - I 'sign' all of my restorations' chassis's with a diamond-tipped electric awl, so I knew it was the radio I'd worked on. The shop is asking for right around five times what I sold it for, so there was no way I was able to bring it back home with me. Been a sad old guy ever since I said goodbye to it for the second time. Sad (Damned things are alive to me... bounce )

It used to get to me, but then I realized if I drank enough, I'd become numb to all the pain and angst. It's also helped my memory!

Also, I came to the realization that if I drank enough, I'd become to all the pain and... something else.

A Classic conjurer quote. I'm All In
