Founded in 1888 in Le Locle, in the Neuchatel Mountains, the LE PHARE watch manufactory, which later on gave birth to the Jean d'Eve watch range, has left its mark on the Swiss watch making history. Indeed, it had an outstanding key position in watch making in the late 19th century due to being rewarded 3 Gold medals at the world exhibitions in 1889, 1896 and 1906. In 1970, it became the second largest producer of chronograph watches in Switzerland.

As a lover of the unusual, those Spectoras really hit my watch g-spot...but as a lover of classic styling, the Classique wins the competition. Sooo...how long do y'all think it's gonna be before the master watchmakers at Stauer and/or Stuhrling issue their own ever-so-slightly modified versions (homages?) of the Spectora...?
