...what would it be?

I would go with the Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine just slightly over the IWC Portuguese 6-eater.

I actually was looking for what watch (any watch, the vc was my choice) you guys would choose if you could only wear one watch for the rest of your life, money's no object. The altiplano is a great choice.

Perhaps I'm showing my poor state of watch knowledge, but all I've ever really wanted among the more expensive brands - aside from a Rolex Sub - is a yellow gold PP Calatrava on a cordovan crockagator strap...I could definitely wear that for the rest of my life without complaint. Those beautiful watches you've shown above would, on my freckly old wrist, be like putting a lace dress on a lesbian...not that there's anything wrong with lesbians in lace dresses, mind you... bom

I was just chatting to someone about this on the telephone, and reckon I could go from 10 down to 2 and still feel both lucky and content. These are the two I'd keep, and if it was just one it would have to be the red Sub, but on it's bracelet.
