10) You are proud of the fact that you are DOWN to four 7s26 divers, and even though you know your orange monster was just like your black monster, and that your SKX007K was even more a clone of your SKX007J, you still wish you had them instead of selling/trading them.

9) Even though you are proud of the fact that you are down to four 7s26 divers, you really wonder what your next modern diver has to be, SKXA35, SKX011J, Titanium, a quartz, a kinetic/perpetual calender, prospex pipin gmt, etc. And you really wish you had them all. And it really irks you that you want both an SKX175 and an SKX009, even though you can't tell them apart from the pictures you see.

Cool You are sick of your friends, colleauges, and wife that cannot tell the difference between your SKX173 and 6309-7290. And it bothers you even more that your 6309-7290 and 6309-729A are not the japan only versions. And even worse sometimes you cannot sleep at night because you have never even seen an orange 6309-729b. And as far as the 6309-704x/6306 series of divers, well lets just say you and each of your family members could outfit a few extremites with them, and you are still looking for a scubapro 6306.

7) You are psyched you finally scored an H558-5009 arnold dual display diver!!!!! A week later you buy an H558-5000. You break out in a cold sweat when you find out there is an orange dialed one. You feel nauseas because the orange dialed ones may come in both a "diver's 150m" and a "sports 150m" dial.

6) You look forward to Randall getting the hots for a new guitar, because you might score one of his awesome divers. Then kick yourself in the ass repeatedly because you missed it when he did or you already have one of that model. (Alternate number 6- You have a mortgage payments worth of work at Randalls, and played a significant role in his backlog.)

5) You once had over half a dozen 7002 divers, most of which a quick look at the dial or bezel let you tell them apart. Some models were only told apart by looking at the case back. You are down to four, but still miss the ones you sold, and still look at auctions for 7002's even though none you have now gets enough wrist time.

4) You finally land a vintage 600m pro, and sit there steamed at work when no one mentions it but everyone thinks your friends watch "just like the navy seals one" is really cool. You think your week is saved a few days later when someone comes up to you, points to your 6306-7000, 6105-800x, or 6105-811x, and says "cool, a seiko diver just like mine!" then shows you his 1968 300m he got at a garage sale for 50$ and has no idea what it is. After you are discharged from the hospital for your stroke, you bump into him again and offer to buy it. He says "naw, I traded it for a better watch with a swiss movement like rolex" and shows you his brand new Invicta. You are admitted to the hospital for another stroke.

3) Your wife starts wearing a big "S-E-I-K-O" necklace, and around bedtime starts talking about needing a movement service. (note to readers- you are in big trouble if you say something like "just maintaince, or overhaul/restoration for a vintage model")

2) You hoard cheap ebay and garage sale watches that house the same movements as your divers. When its actually time to use one however, you decide to have it serviced and restored instead. The price for the pair of your vintage diver and seiko 5 service and restoration now stands about four times what it would have been to buy a new skx diver and seiko 5.

1) You understood each model number that was discussed above, and now matter how many watches and models you have, wish you had all of my watches also!

OP note:Just sharing...not mine.

I'm still just a Seiko dabbler, but the sentiment of this post is something I can easily relate to as a restorer of antique radios who has a complex about Philco sets, of which I have 43 at last count, which has oft had Mrs Mort asking the same question, over and over: "Why do you need so many damned radios? You can only listen to one at a time..." (Emphasis hers...)

And the post made me chortle in a most rigid manner... bounce

(OBTW, never ask your missus why she has so many purses, nor should you point out that she can only carry one at a time...{Emphasis still hers...})
