Today is a momentous day in Citizen Watch Company history. It marks the introduction of the company's very first high-grade fully mechanical wristwatch. Until now, Citizen has produced millions of highly accurate and fairly high-end quartz watches under its own name, while leaving most of the mechanical movements created under the Miyota name to other brands.

At 3,200.00 I would have a hard time buying one, then on the other hand it is a first.

It will be interesting to see just how well it sells, given Citizen's lack of history in this area. Of course, since they enjoy a sterling - as opposed to stuhrling Wink - reputation, it's probably not that much of a stretch to believe that those who have the disposable income might make the investment.

Judging for the excellent job they did with the 9100
movement series, I have no doubt this will be a success story as well...this watch is directed to a particular price bracket (that includes Grand Seiko) found the price very appealing .
