Generosity and a couple of photos... Shanghai SB1H ...

Although I admit my collection reflects a rare (and sometimes a possible lack of ) taste, the generosity my humble project, the AMCHPR, receives from the watch collecting community constantly astonishes me.

WUS member Citizen V recently contacted me and offered the AMCHPR a very neat goldtone 17 jewel SB1H Shanghai day/date with a green fade dial, and it arrived about maybe a week and a half ago...but I work two full time jobs so it wasn't until tonight I got to settle down enough to take photos that I hope show how pleased...and grateful...I am.

Victor, thank you. I love this series of utterly reliable, and easily accurate enough for daily wear, SB1H Shanghai watches and I have a few of the Diamond labelled pieces also. The colored dials are fun and rich and light-dancing, the cases are solid, well constructed and comfortable and I have nooshoos plans for this one... I present:





...with a signed crown and a quite comfortable, and quite utilitarian folded bracelet. The clasp is secure.

I'm looking for a good, natural finish oxblood or reddish tan cowhide G10...but I also have a regimental NATO that will do till then, but you're right. The piece needs good leather.

Oxblood would look nice on it I think.

I call this my "Christmas watch," though I wear it whenever the mood hits me...which is usually right around Christmas time...
