Burberry 2012 The Britian collection
I saw this article on Watchtime on Burberry. I know for many years that you could get burberry at Fossil outlets which I have picked up more than a few. With this new collection who is the maker????? I haven't been able to find out yet. For movements they are using Sporod ETA and the dreaded most feared Rhonda 5040D in the Quartz. They have a cross of PAM meets AP to me.

Ooooh... I like these. Especially the gunmetal and brown strap combo.

I just tried one on. When I'm back in town I will post a couple of cell phone pics I took. The manager at the store was pretty confident that Fossil is producing them.

Wow. The burberry watches i have seen were ugly, these aren't bad looking at all. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a soprod movement either.

Ok here are the scans. The watch appears solidly built. Good mix of brushed and polished finishes on the case to give it nice look. The manager at the store says that is was designed using the iconic metal "D" ring used in Burberry outerwear as the inspiration. Clearly looks like a Royal Oak mixed with a Patek Nautilus. The dial was a bit flat and uninspired.
At $1700 and change plus tax, I felt it was more than a bit overpriced. I suspect it is 49% Shanghai, Switzerland "made". The manager asserted it was produced by Fossil.
