I actually bought a Franken watch on purpose....not a Seiko, but an old model Orient Beast case, that had a Mako dial and unknown movement. The price was too cheap to pass up, and so far, the accuracy is not too bad.
I don't have any pics of the movement but the rotor is black and the movement itself is noisy, which tells me Chinese in origin.
